【Mt. Fuji】

Mt. Fuji is an active stratovolcano, straddles the boundary of Shizuoka and Yamanashi Pref. It is a well-known symbol of Japan and frequently depicted in art and photographs. Also, it affects a climate or the stratum geologically. The mountain is representative part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park, all of which is designated as a special natural beauty spot. It was added to the World Heritage List as a Cultural Site in 2013.


【The 5th Station of Mt. Fuji】

The 5th station lies at approximately the halfway point of the Yoshida Trail, which leads from Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine at the mountain's base to the summit of Mount Fuji. This station is accessible almost all year round and is a popular sightseeing spot. There are a lot of tourists and locals enjoying for a short break before climbing to the summit of Mount Fuji. You can find souvenir shops and Komitake Shrine behind the shops.


【Lake Kawaguchi】

Lake Kawaguchi is one of Japan's must visit place! Since the location is pretty close to Mt. Fuji, it is often addressed as Mt. Fuji Area. The most popular in this area are Panoramic Ropeway and the Excursion ship. Not only that, you can find plenty of shops, hotels and restaurants. Lake kawaguchi area was the first area to be developed for tourism purpose.
